Why We Named Them Petra

Petra comes from the Greek word πέτρα, meaning “stone” or “rock.”

We chose the name as a nod to the strength and permanence found throughout Greece—from ancient stone villages and sun-washed island pathways to traditions that have endured for generations.

The name felt especially fitting for a design centered around the mati, one of Greece’s most recognizable symbols of protection. Paired with luminous pearls, the Petra Earrings bring together two sides of Greece we love: strength and softness, protection and beauty, old tradition and modern style.

Care Instructions

Your Petra Pearl Drop Earrings are designed to handle everyday life, but a little care will keep them looking beautiful for even longer.

Although the PVD gold-plated stainless steel is waterproof and highly resistant to fading and rust, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to perfume, hairspray, lotions, chlorine, salt water, and harsh cleaning products, particularly to help preserve the pearl elements.

After wearing, gently wipe your earrings with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth. Allow them to dry completely before storing, and keep them separately in a jewelry pouch or box to prevent scratching.
