Why We Named It Kini Mati

We named this piece after Kini, a small seaside village on the island of Syros. Kini is known for its relaxed waterfront, traditional Cycladic character, and beautiful blue Aegean surroundings.

There was something about this little necklace that reminded us of Kini: small, beautiful, Greek, and surrounded by blue. The brilliant blue enamel evokes the color of the Aegean, while the traditional mati gives the piece a deeper connection to Greek culture and the idea of carrying a little protection with you wherever you go.
