Bali Byzantine Cross

A little piece of Byzantium, dipped in Aegean blue.

The Bali Byzantine Cross is an ornate double-sided cross crafted in solid 14k yellow gold, designed to be just as beautiful from the back as it is from the front. Inspired by the elaborate symmetry and jeweled details of Byzantine-era treasures, this piece has the richness of an antique heirloom with a brighter, more modern Hellenic Luxe feel.

One side is adorned with striking marquise-cut lab-created light blue sapphires, surrounded by brilliant lab-created diamonds and intricate solid-gold detailing. Flip it over to reveal an entirely different design: sculptural Byzantine-inspired goldwork accented with a vivid round blue stone at its center and sparkling lab-created diamonds.

Because it is double sided, there really is no “back” to the Bali Byzantine Cross. As it naturally moves and turns on the chain, another beautifully finished side is revealed.

Why We Named It Bali

We named this piece after Bali, a seaside village on the northern coast of Crete, known for its beautiful coves and intensely blue Mediterranean water.

The brilliant blues of the Bali coastline immediately came to mind when we saw the sapphire tones against the warm yellow gold. Pair that Aegean color with the cross's ornate, old-world detailing, and Bali Byzantine Cross felt exactly right—a meeting of Greece's brilliant blue coastline and its centuries of Byzantine artistry.

Care Instructions

Solid 14k gold is made to last for generations, but the Bali Byzantine Cross should still be treated as fine jewelry to preserve its intricate details and stones.

Clean gently with lukewarm water, mild soap, and a very soft jewelry brush or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Avoid exposing the cross to chlorine, bleach, harsh household cleaners, perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, and other chemicals. We recommend removing it before swimming, bathing, exercising, or sleeping.

Because the design contains multiple individually set stones and delicate detailing, avoid dropping the pendant or allowing it to strike hard surfaces. When not being worn, store it separately in a soft jewelry pouch or lined box to help prevent scratching and tangling.

For long-term care, have the stone settings periodically inspected by a professional jeweler—especially if the cross is worn frequently.
