Why We Named It Attica Amphora

Attica (Αττική) is the historic region of Greece that includes Athens, an area deeply connected to the ancient Greek tradition of pottery and vessel making. Amphorae—distinctive vessels traditionally recognized by their narrow necks and two handles—were an important part of everyday life and artistry in the ancient Greek world.

The shape of this pendant reminded us of a tiny, jewel-like amphora, so Attica Amphora felt meant to be: a nod to ancient Greek craftsmanship transformed into something bright, modern, and wearable.

Care Instructions

Because this piece is 18k gold plated over 925 sterling silver, a little extra care will help preserve its gold finish and keep the turquoise and stones looking beautiful.

Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions, makeup, sunscreen, oils and household cleaning products. Apply beauty products first and allow them to dry completely before putting on your necklace.

Remove your Attica Amphora Necklace before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or entering pools, hot tubs and the sea. Salt water and chlorine can accelerate wear on gold plating and may affect the appearance of the metal and stones.

After wearing, gently wipe the necklace with a clean, soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth to remove natural skin oils and moisture. Do not use silver polish, jewelry dips, chemical cleaners, abrasive cloths, toothpaste, baking soda, or polishing compounds on the piece, as these can damage or remove the gold-plated finish.

Take special care with the turquoise. Avoid soaking it or exposing it to chemicals, cosmetics, extreme heat, or prolonged moisture. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp cloth when necessary and dry immediately.

When you're not wearing it, store the necklace clean, dry, and separately from other jewelry, ideally inside a soft pouch or lined jewelry box. Keeping pieces separated helps prevent scratching, tangling, and unnecessary friction against the gold plating.
